dc.description.abstract | Nomophobia is defined as an intense and irrational fear of not being able to relate to a
smartphone, Nomophobia occurs because of the rapid development of digital technology,
especially smartphone devices. The high use of smartphones in this modern era, of course,
will be a problem. Seeing the negative impact caused, self-control in this case plays an
important role in controlling smartphone use. Good self-control can reduce the tendency
of nomophobia resulting from excessive use of smartphones and individuals can regulate
smartphone use so as not to drown in the comfort of using the sophisticated facilities of a
smartphone. Prevention efforts can be done in various ways. One of them is making time
and schedule when playing smartphones, socializing more with the surrounding
environment, increasing self-control efforts.The research design used is a descriptive
design in the form of a case study, namely a research design that includes an intensive
study of one research unit, for example a client, family, group, community or institution.
This design depends on the circumstances of the case but still takes into account the
factors of the study of time, history and previous behavior patterns The population used in
this study were two teenagers in Balongbendo Village, Pulorejo Village in 2022. The
results of the data obtained based on the assessment of the first diagnosis, complaints of
sleep pattern disturbances were obtained and in the second study, the diagnosis of anxiety
