| dc.description.abstract | Hypertension is a condition that causes continuous high blood pressure where the systolic
pressure is more than 140 mmHg, the diastolic pressure is 90 mmHg or more.
Hypertension or high blood disease is a state of chronically elevated blood circulation.
This happens because the heart works faster to pump blood to meet the needs of oxygen
and nutrients in the body. In Indonesia, Basic Health Research (Riskesdas) data shows that
there is an increase in the prevalence of hypertension from 5.7% in 2018 to 6.9% or
around 9.1 million in 2019. Sample Registration Survey data in 2019 shows that
hypertension is the 3rd largest cause of death in Indonesia with a percentage of 6.7% after
stroke and heart disease.Health services for hypertension at the family level are carried
out using a nursing process approach. Family nursing care provided to families includes
assessment, formulation of nursing diagnoses, planning, implementation and evaluation of
nursing which aims to make the health services implemented effective and comprehensive.
All these services are applied to all puskesmas settings.The family is the first social
environment for children that provides the basis for the development of attitudes and life
values of the family. The main purpose of the family is as an intermediary, which is to bear
all the hopes and obligations of society and form and change to some degree so that it can
meet the needs and interests of individual members in the family.The main purpose of the

case study with the title'Family Nursing Care With Hypertensive Family Members In
PurutRejoKelurahanPurworejo Village, Pasuruan City' uses nonpharmacological
interventions with the application of Autogenic Relaxation Therapy. The action is carried
