Patients with decreased consciousness who are on a ventilator often experience pain, the pain is triggered by various treatment procedures that are at risk of causing pain. As well as the difficulty of measuring pain in patients with decreased consciousness in the ICU. Pain measurement using the CPOT. This study uses a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. A sample of 26 patients was taken using the Consecutive sampling technique. The results showed that patients who experienced decreased consciousness and very severe pain were 7 respondents (26.9%), severe pain was 5 respondents (19.2%), moderate pain was 11 respondents (42.3%), mild pain was 3 respondents (11.5%) and no pain, namely 0 respondents (0%). Patients with decreased consciousness and unable to communicate verbally still have pain complaints and may not be realized by nurses.
