    Abstract
CKD patients must undergo hemodialysis which is one of the therapies that replaces part of the work of kidney function in removing metabolic waste products and fluids and substances that are not needed through diffusion and hemofiltration. Dependence on the patient will decrease the quality of life in patients. Quality of life is an important indicator to evaluate the results of hemodialysis in patients with chronic kidney failure. One of the factors supporting the success of nursing services is involving family, friends, and people closest to the patient by providing social support. This study aims to determine the relationship between social support with quality of life in CKD patients. This research design uses correlational analysis with the cross-sectional approach. The study population was all CKD patients at Gatoel Hospital, Mojokerto City until a sample of 120 respondents was obtained. Data were collected using the MSPSS and KDQOL-36 questionnaire instruments, processed by editing, coding, scoring, tabulating, and SPSS version 24 statistical test. The results showed that most of the CKD patients had high social support with perfect quality of life, 72 respondents (69%). Spearmen Rho value obtained a value of 0.000 < (α: 0.05), a correlation coefficient of 0.552 which indicated that there was a relationship between social support and the quality of life of CKD patients, and the close relationship was strong. Social support for CKD patients who get it from their family will feel that they are cared for, loved, and appreciated so that it can be a strength for their patients both psychologically and physically so that it can improve the quality of life in patients with chronic kidney failure.
