HUBUNGAN TINGKAT STRES KERJA DENGAN PERILAKU CARING PERAWAT DI RUANG HCU COVID-19 RSUD BANGIL KABUPATEN PASURUAN
Abstract
The COVID-19 pandemic greatly affects hospital services, especially on the
psychological health of nurses, stressful conditions like this would have an impact
on decreased the performance of nurses in provided nursing care which could affect
the caring behavior of nurses to patients. This study aims to analyzed the
relationship between work stress levels and the caring behavior of nurses in the
HCU COVID-19 Room at Bangil Hospital, Pasuruan Regency. Analytical research
design with cross sectional approach. The population was all nurses in the HCU
COVID-19 RSUD Bangil as many as 41 nurses with a sample of 37 nurses as
respondents used purposive sampling. Data were taken used the ENSS and CBI-24
questionnaires followed by the Spearman's Rho Test Statistical Test with the help
of SPSS Version 25.0. The results showed that the p value (0.000) < (0.05), so H1
was accepted, which means that there was a relationship between work stress and
nurse caring behavior, with a value of r = -0.779 indicating a strong relationship
and a negative direction, which means the higher the level of work stress, the lower
the nurse's caring. In the current era of the COVID-19 pandemic, nurses as the
front line must be able to control or control emotional conditions and even the level
of stressors experienced when caring for patients, so that nurses' caring behavior
can be carried out properly which will improve the quality of nursing care and
accelerate the patient's recovery process.
