    Abstract
The COVID-19 pandemic greatly affects hospital services, especially on the psychological health of nurses, stressful conditions like this would have an impact on decreased the performance of nurses in provided nursing care which could affect the caring behavior of nurses to patients. This study aims to analyzed the relationship between work stress levels and the caring behavior of nurses in the HCU COVID-19 Room at Bangil Hospital, Pasuruan Regency. Analytical research design with cross sectional approach. The population was all nurses in the HCU COVID-19 RSUD Bangil as many as 41 nurses with a sample of 37 nurses as respondents used purposive sampling. Data were taken used the ENSS and CBI-24 questionnaires followed by the Spearman's Rho Test Statistical Test with the help of SPSS Version 25.0. The results showed that the p value (0.000) < (0.05), so H1 was accepted, which means that there was a relationship between work stress and nurse caring behavior, with a value of r = -0.779 indicating a strong relationship and a negative direction, which means the higher the level of work stress, the lower the nurse's caring. In the current era of the COVID-19 pandemic, nurses as the front line must be able to control or control emotional conditions and even the level of stressors experienced when caring for patients, so that nurses' caring behavior can be carried out properly which will improve the quality of nursing care and accelerate the patient's recovery process.
