    Abstract
Osteoarthritis is a degenerative joint disease of the joint cartilage with reactive changes at the joint boundaries, such as the formation of osteophytes, changes in the subchondral bone, changes in the bone marrow, fibrous reactions in the synovium, and thickening of the joint capsule, causing joint pain and disability in patients, thereby interfering with daily activities. The research design used was PreExperimental with the Pre-Post-Test method in one group (One Group Pre-Test Post-test Design). The population used was outpatient knee osteoarthritis in the work area of the Orthopedic clinic Hospital, Bangil District, Pasuruan and a sample of 15 respondents using the purposive sampling technique. independent variable is rheumatic gymnastics. and the dependent variable is pain intensity. Based on the results of the study, it was found that there was an effect of rheumatic exercise on changes in pain intensity in osteoarthritis patients at the Orthopedic Poly Hospital Bangil. These results are due to the simple linear regression test obtained by the value of sig = 0.000 0.05. These results indicate that H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted, which means that there is a significant effect on the pain intensity of osteoarthritis patients after rheumatic exercise therapy compared to before rheumatic exercise therapy. Rheumatic exercises can increase flexibility and range of motion of joints. If the muscles and joints are more relaxed, the stiffness and intensity of joint pain will decrease.
