Abstract
Heart attacks (cardiac arrest) are the main cause of death in the world, with most cases experienced by men. Handling cardiac arrest cases requires a lot of confidence and persistence so that the patient can return safely. Self-confidence is greatly influenced by the person's self-efficacy. The aim of the research is to determine the relationship between the level of knowledge of nurses regarding cardiopulmonary resuscitation and the self-efficacy of cardiac arrest procedures at Bangil District Hospital. The sample type for this research is correlation analysis where the number is 36 respondents with a sampling technique, namely consecutive sampling. The statistical test used is the Spearmen Rank Test. The research results showed that the majority of nurses (80%) had good knowledge about CPR and the majority of nurses (82.9%) had high self-efficacy regarding cardiac arrest procedures. Based on the Spearmen test results, a P value of 0.000 < 0.05 was obtained, so this shows that there is a relationship between the level of nurses' knowledge about cardiopulmonary resuscitation and the self-efficacy of cardiac arrest at Bangil Hospital, while the Correlation Coefficient value: .0720 shows that the strength of the correlation is strong and the direction of the correlation is positive . It is hoped that nurses will further improve as caregivers, therefore there is a need for business strategies to increase knowledge and self-efficacy in nurses, including by sharing experiences through discussions between friends or DPJP, participating in various workshops and seminars or training related to RJP such as BLS, PPGD, ACLS. Participate in in-house training / seminars held by the hospital
