    Abstract
Leadership style is one of the factors that can affect a person's performance, the application of a leadership style that is not in accordance with the situation and conditions can reduce the performance of his subordinates so that there are many complaints from the community against the health services provided. This study aims to determine the relationship of leadership style with the performance of nurses in the Melati Inpatient Room at Bangil Hospital. The research design is correlation analysis with a cross-sectional study approach. The population was 34 nurses in the Melati Inpatient Room at Bangil Hospital and used a sample of 32 nurses with purpossive sampling technique. The independent variable in this study is the leadership style and the dependent variable is the nurse's performance. Data were taken using a questionnaire on leadership style and nurse performance. After the research data was collected, the Chi-Square test was carried out using the SPSS application. Results Based on the calculation of the chi square test, the results obtained Asymp.Sig = 0.954. Because the Asymp.Sig value is 0.948 > 0.05, it can be said that there is no significant relationship between leadership style and nurse performance in the Melati Inpatient Room at Bangil Hospital. This can also be interpreted as a leader's leadership style is not correlated with nurse performance. Good or bad a person's performance is influenced by many factors, one of which is organizational factors, namely; leadership style. The leadership style in which the leader considers himself to be part of the group by listening to suggestions from his subordinates and the characteristics of the leader who are able to work together with his subordinates, are confident in their knowledge and have new ideas to improve health services can improve the performance of nurses.
