HUBUNGAN KARAKTERISTIK, PENGETAHUAN, SIKAP DENGAN KEPATUHAN MINUM OBAT PASIEN TB PARU DI RSUD BANGIL KABUPATEN PASURUAN
Abstract
Tuberculosis (TB) is a major global health problem. Pulmonary tuberculosis suffered by individuals will have a huge impact on their lives, both physically, mentally, and socially. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between characteristics, attitudes, knowledge, and adherence to medication for pulmonary TB patients at Bangil Hospital, Pasuruan Regency. The design of this study used a correlation analysis method. The design used was cross-sectional with a simple random sampling technique. The population in this study were all patients with pulmonary TB in the Lotus Room and 55 people at the Bangil Pasuruan Hospital. The variables studied were Characteristics, Attitudes, Knowledge with Compliance with Taking Medicines for Pulmonary TB Patients. The results showed that there was a strong relationship between age and medication adherence. There is a moderate relationship between gender and medication adherence. There is a moderate relationship between nutritional status and medication adherence. There is a very weak relationship between work and medication adherence. There is a very weak relationship between work and medication adherence. There is a moderate relationship between disease status and medication adherence. There is a weak relationship between knowledge and medication adherence. There is a very weak relationship between attitude and medication adherence. From the results of several factors that have been studied, the age factor shows the value of r = 0.721. This is located at a value of 0.799, which means that there is a strong relationship between age and medication adherence at Bangil Hospital, Pasuruan. Families should continue to provide support to patients by always reminding and motivating patients to take medication regularly and taking the time to take patients for treatment when patients need help.
