Hubungan Kemandirian Dengan Resiko Jatuh Pasca Stroke Pada Lansia Di Desa Durensewu, Kecamatan Pandaan, Kabupaten Pasuruan
Abstract
Falls are common after stroke and are associated with balance and mobility deficits. The impact of stroke is a decrease in muscle function in the lower extremities which results in a decrease in the ability to balance body mass. These conditions have an impact on post-stroke patients, namely falling when starting the movement to stand and walk. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between independence and the risk of falling after stroke in the elderly. The research design used cross sectional. The population in this study were all post-stroke elderly in Durensewu Village, Pandaan District, Pasuruan Regency with a total of 55 respondents and a total sample of 46 respondents using purposive sampling and using the Spearman Rho test. Research instrument using a questionnaire. The results of the test using SPSS 24 Spearman correlation statistical test obtained p = 0.000 < 0.05, meaning that there is a very strong significant relationship between independence and the risk of falling after stroke in the elderly in Durensewu village, Pandaan district, Pasuruan district. Risk of falls in the elderly. This is because the elderly feel that they are able to carry out their activities independently so that they feel useful for themselves.
