dc.description.abstractMental and emotional problems as well as physical problems can change the behavior of the elderly. Depression is a serious problem involving symptoms related to mood, cognitive, and physical symptoms. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between family support and the level of depression in the elderly during the COVID-19 pandemic. The research design used a cross sectional study. The population in this study was all elderly people in Sukorame Hamlet. Durensewu village. Pandaan District. Pasuruan Regency which consists of 60 respondents and the number of samples taken is the entire population (60 respondents) using Total Sampling. The research instrument used a questionnaire. The results showed that there was a tendency for a relationship between family support and the level of depression in the elderly during the COVID-19 pandemic in Sukorame Hamlet, Durensewu Village, Pandaaan District, Pasuruan Regency. This means that the higher the family support for the elderly, the lower the level of depression in the elderly. Family support that has emotional ties will provide strength for the elderly to live a better old age.en_US
