    Abstract
The high prevalence and the magnitude of the severe risk hypoglycemia were closely related to the behavior of diabetics in managing their disease, especially the behavior of detecting hypoglycemic episodes. This research design used correlation analytic with cross sectional approach. The population in this study was all patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus in the Balongrawe neighborhood, Kedundung sub-district, Magersari district, Mojokerto city, with a total of 39 people. The sampling technique of this research was total sampling. The sample in this study was 39 people. The research instrument used google form questionnaire. Data analysis used Fisher’s Exact Test. The results suggested that the majority of respondents suffered from diabetes mellitus 6 years, as many as 26 people (66.7%), most of the respondents had positive hypoglycemic episode detection behavior, as many as 26 people (66.7%). The results Fisher’s Exact Test suggested that p-value = 0.029 or less than (0.05) so that H1 was accepted, meaning that there was a long-standing relationship with diabetes mellitus with the behavior of detecting hypoglycemic episodes in type 2 diabetes mellitus patients in Kedundung Village, Magersari District, Mojokerto City. Respondents who suffer diabetes mellitus > 6 years tend to have positive behavior because they are more experienced, already understand the ins and outs of the disease and the possibilities experienced by patients with diabetes mellitus, so that they place more emphasis on the experience of respondents who live with diabetes more than respondents who are < 6 years.
