HUBUNGAN LAMA MENJALANI HEMODIALISIS DENGAN GAMBARAN DIRI PASIEN GAGAL GINJAL KRONIK DI RSUD PROF DR. SOEKANDAR MOJOSARI

Abstract

Patients with chronic kidney disease are always dependent on dialysis machines and must undergo dialysis for life. This results in changes in the function of the patient's body structure, one of which is self-image disturbance. This study aims to determine the relationship between length of time undergoing hemodialysis with self-image in patients with chronic kidney disease at Prof Dr. Soekandar Mojosari Hospital. This study used a Correlation Analytical Design with the sampling technique used was total sampling. The number of samples is 150 people, the study was conducted from March to April 2021. The data were tested using a crosstab statistical test. The results showed that HD >24 months had 34 respondents (37.4%) having a negative self-image. Which shows the strength of the weak relationship. One effort that can be done to improve the self-image of chronic kidney disease patients is to motivate patients and provide Health Education (HE). To provide encouragement to stay passionate about life, so that patients can adapt to the conditions they are experiencing.
