HUBUNGAN KETERAMPILAN KOMUNIKASI DENGAN MANAJEMEN KONFLIK PADA PEGAWAI DI PUSKESMAS JETIS KABUPATEN MOJOKERTO
Abstract
Communication often creates conflict. Conflict was a natural occurrence in all groups and organizations that cannot be avoided. Prolonged conflict will destroy performance achievements in a unit. Communication skills are related to conflict management. The relationship between communication skills and conflict management among employees at the Jetis Health Center, Mojokerto Regency. This type of research is correlation analytic using a cross sectional approach. The population in this study was all employees at the Jetis Health Center, Mojokerto Regency, totaled 43 employees using a total sampling technique so that the sample was used as a whole. The instrument used in this research is primary data with a checklist sheet. Data analysis was carried out using the Spearman rho correlation test with a p-value of 0.001 or α < 0.05, then Ho was rejected = H1 was accepted, meaning that there was a significant influence between the relationship between work skills and conflict management among employees at the Jetis Health Center, Mojokerto Regency, with the closeness value. The correlation is 0.948, which means it is very strong. Good communication skills are key to effective conflict management. Communication has a multifunctional role in conflict management, including informative, regulative, persuasive and integrative roles.
