    Abstract
Introduction: Stress is a psychological condition of the patient's family that we can meet in the hospital emergency room. Family-oriented care will help families reduce depression, anxiety and stress in patients. Families of patients who come to the ER usually have high levels of stress. The purpose of the study was to determine the family's stress response to family members of patients treated in the ER. Methods: The design of this study uses descriptive analytics. The study population was the entire family of Islamic hospital Sakinah Mojokerto patients as many as 126 respondents, so that a sample of 50 respondents was obtained with a consecutive sampling technique for 2 weeks. Data were collected using the DASS 42 questionnaire instrument, processed by Editing, Coding, Scoring, Tabulating. The results showed that most of the patient's families experienced severe stress responses as many as 30 respondents (60.0%). In the analysis of this study, the data that has been tabulated is then to find out the highest number of frequencies using a frequency distribution to determine the percentage of family stress responses to family members of patients treated at the emergency department of Islamic hospital Sakinah Mojokerto. And the results of the study concluded that respondents experienced a stress response, namely the level of severe stress this could be influenced by factors of age, occupation, gender, relationship status with patients and the environment, where there are incidents of family members who create stressful conditions so that it becomes a challenge for families to adapt to changes.
