    Abstract
    Leadership style is one of the factors that can affect a person's performance, a leadership style that is not in accordance with the situation and conditions can cause a decrease in the performance of its members so that complaints from the community arise against the health services provided. This study aims to determine the relationship between leadership style and nurse performance during the COVID-19 pandemic in the inpatient room of Anwar Medika Hospital Sidoarjo. The design of this study was cross sectional. The population of this study were all nurses who served in the ICU, asoka, lotus, sakura and jasmine at Anwar Medika Hospital, Sidoarjo. The sample taken was 42 respondents with proportional random sampling technique. Data was taken using a questionnaire. The data were analyzed using the contingency coefficient test with a significant level of 0.05. The results showed that H1 was accepted, so that there was a relationship between the leadership style of the head of the room and the nurse's performance (obtained p = 0.03 where the significant value was 0.05). This, it can be concluded that there is a relationship between the leadership style of the head of the room and the performance of nurses during the covid-19 pandemic, which means that the democratic leadership style will be the higher the nurse's performance. The head of the room uses a democratic leadership style to improve the performance of nurses.
