HUBUNGAN LAMA RAWAT DENGAN TINGKAT KECEMASAN KELUARGA PASIEN DI RUANG HCU TERATAI DI RSUD BANGIL
Abstract
Treatment in the intensive room with the patient in a coma can cause concern that will cause a sense of discomfort so that the family experiences anxiety, with the good nurse caring, the anxiety felt by the family can be reduced. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between the length of stay and the level of anxiety of the patient's family in the Teratai Hospital Bangil High Care Unit (HCU). The method in this research is correlation analysis. The design used is cross-sectional with the Consecutive Sampling technique. The variables studied were the relationship between the length of stay and the level of anxiety of the patient's family in the High Care Unit (HCU). The results showed that based on the length of stay, more than half of the respondents with the length of stay <5 days were 19 respondents (63.3%). Based on family anxiety, more than half of the respondents were in very high anxiety as many as 23 respondents (76.7%). The results of statistical tests with Spearman Rank on length of stay with family anxiety levels showed data results with coefficient value = 0.418 and P-value = 0.022 <0.05. The conclusion is that H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted, which means that there is a relationship between the length of stay and the level of anxiety of the patient's family in the lotus HCU room at Bangil Pasuruan Hospital. This research is expected to be an evaluation in helping the patient's family direct adaptive coping mechanisms in dealing with anxiety.
