    Abstract
A febrile seizure is an emergency condition that requires first treatment, but most mothers are not aware of the dangers it poses. This study aims to make mothers understand first aid for febrile seizures so that their children do not fall into more serious conditions. This research method is pre-experimental with one group pre-test post-test design approach with consecutive sampling technique. The variables studied were the provision of audio-visual education on the mother's attitude in first aid for fever in children in the Asoka room of Bangil Pasuruan Hospital. The research subjects were 12 respondents with data collection techniques using pre-test and post-test questionnaires. The results showed that the statistical test with the Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test on the mother's attitude showed p = 0,002 (p <0,05) which means that the pre-test and post-test there was a significant increase in maternal attitudes. Before being given audio-visual education, 2 respondents had poor attitudes (16,7%) and 10 respondents (83,3%) had sufficient attitudes in first aid for fever in children. After the audio-visual education was conducted, there was an increase in the mother's attitude. A total of 10 respondents (83,3%) experienced an increase in attitude from quite as much and an increase from less to enough as many as 2 people (16,7%). This is because audio-visual media are media used in learning activities by involving sight and vision at the same time in one process or activity. So that respondents better understand education about febrile seizures in children, and it is hoped that the mother's attitude in first aid for febrile seizures in children will increase better than before.
