    Abstract
    The news about Covid-19 has become a heavy stressor for the community, causing anxiety. Therefore, people need to get health education so that the information obtained is balanced. This study aimed to determine the effect of health education on the level of anxiety of the productive age community about the Covid-19 pandemic. The design of this study used a one group pretest-post test design. The population in this study was the entire productive age community in Balowono Hamlet, RT 20 RW 10, Wonomlati Village, Krembung District, Sidoarjo Regency, amounting to 76 people. The sampling technique of this research is purposive sampling so that the research sample is 50 people. The research instrument used the SAP and HARS questionnaires to identify symptoms of anxiety which included feelings of anxiety, fear, tension, feelings of depression, sleep disturbances, intelligence, somatic, respiratory, and cardiovascular symptoms. Data analysis used Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test. The results of this study indicated that almost all respondents experienced mild anxiety before being given health education, as many as 45 people (90.0%), and almost all respondents did not experience anxiety after being given health education, as many as 48 people (96.0%). experienced a decrease in anxiety levels as many as 50 people (100%). The Wilcoxon Signed Ranks test results suggested that p-value = 0.000, meaning that there is an effect of health education on the anxiety of the productive age community about the Covid-19 pandemic in Balowono Hamlet, RT 20 RW 10, Wonomlati Village, Krembung District, Sidoarjo Regency with a negative influence direction, namely that health education reduces the level of public anxiety. about the COVID-19 pandemic. This is because the provision of health education will make people know and understand more about COVID-19, and provide information on how to prevent it so that it can reduce anxiety.
