Abstract

Men's participation in using contraceptives is still low, this is because individual characteristics influence the mindset in responding to and accepting the concept of contraception, low understanding and lack of awareness of men's attitudes about reproductive health are part of the cause of the lack of participation of men in using contraception. and attitude/behavior. The husband's low knowledge affects the husband's perception of the use of contraceptives in men, because one of the factors that determines a person's perception is the knowledge he has. The purpose of this study was to determine the husband's perception of male contraceptives in Wates Village, Mojokerto City. This research design uses quantitative descriptive. The population in this study were all husbands of PUS in Wates Village, Mojokerto City. The sampling technique used Cluster Random Sampling. The sample in this study was 97 respondents. The research instrument used a questionnaire on husband's perception of contraception in men. Data were analyzed by univariate analysis. The results showed that 54.6% of respondents had a positive perception. Although in general the husband's perception is that they support the family planning program for men, in reality they have not been moved to become acceptors, an equitable approach is needed to the community.
