Tingkat Stress Dan Strategi Koping Pasien Covid- 19 Selama Menjalani Isolasi Mandiri Di Wilayah Puskesmas Gondang
Abstract
Stress levels in Covid-19 patients often experience psychological disorders in the form of stress
and anxiety. The impact of protracted stress in high intensity can cause physical and mental illness,
which ultimately can reduce immune productivity in the body, coping strategies are carried out by
individuals to deal with problems and balance emotions in stressful situations due to loneliness. Efforts
to overcome the problem of stress in COVID-19 patients who are self-isolating, that is, they must be
able to adapt and manage well the existing conditions to avoid stress. The research design uses a
descriptive survey approach. The study population was all isolation patients totaling 43 patients at the
Gondang Mojokerto Public Health Center Isolation house. Data collection by using total sampling
technique. instrument using a stress level questionnaire (Kessler Psychological Distress Scale) and a
Brief Cope coping strategy questionnaire. Data analysis using frequency distribution. The results
showed that the stress level of 43 respondents was almost half of severe stress as many as 23
respondents (53.5%). Meanwhile, based on the coping strategy, it shows that of the 43 respondents,
almost half of them use emotion focused coping as much as 21 (48.8%). This study shows that coping
strategies in isolation patients mostly use emotional focused coping. Because these steps serve to try
to get rid of loneliness or improve the effects of loneliness by getting comfort and understanding from
someone. This is because coping strategies are very helpful in increasing anxiety or stress to get
healing from every patient who is self-isolating
