    Abstract
Classical music is the use of music as a therapeutic tool to improve, maintain, develop mental, physical and emotional health. Listening to classical music from an early age can balance and stimulate the function of the right brain and left brain properly so that it can increase the emotional intelligence of children who have 5 basic components of self-awareness, self-regulation, motivation, empathy and social skills. The purpose of this study was to prove the effect of classical music therapy on emotional intelligence in preschool children at Al- Manaar Kradenan Kindergarten, Banyuwangi. Analytical research design with a pre-experimental approach, one group pre-test and post-test design. The population of all class A children at Al-Manaar Kindergarten in April 2021 was 19 children. Samples were taken by total sampling technique. The independent variable is music therapy and the dependent variable is emotional intelligence. Data were collected using a questionnaire instrument and continued with a Frequency Descriptive statistical test with the help of SPSS version 20. The results showed that after classical music therapy the level of emotional intelligence of children increased with a sufficient presentation of 13 children (68.4%), while 6 children (31, 6%) to 16 (84.5%), while 3 children (15.8%) means that there is an influence of classical music therapy on the level of emotional intelligence in pre-school age children at Al-Manaar Kradenan Kindergarten because the respondents are increasingly focused on music therapy Classically, the body will be more relaxed and develop brain function, thereby increasing emotional intelligence in children.
