GAMBARAN LAMA PERSALINAN KALA 1 FASE AKTIF PADA PRIMIGRAVIDA DAN MULTIGRAVIDA DI UPTD PUSKESMAS NGULING KABUPATEN PASURUAN
Abstract
The duration of labor can cause maternal death due to infection,
exhaustion, dehydration, and postpartum hemorrhage. In the fetus, there will be
infection, injury, and aphasia which can increase infant mortality. Extension of
the first stage of the active phase is one of the problems that often occur in the
labor process, especially in primigravida. In primigravida physiologically the
labor process takes longer than multiparas. The purpose of this study was to
describe the duration of active phase 1 labor in primigravida and multigravida.
The design in this study used a descriptive research type of research design. The
population in this study were all mothers giving birth from May up to September
2021 at the Public health center UPTD Nguling, Pasuruan Regency, totaling 58
people. This study used a sampling technique non-probability sampling purposive
sampling type. The sample size that meets the research criteria is 50 people. The
instrument used in this study was a partograph observation sheet. The analysis in
this study is descriptive. The results of this study were most of the respondents
aged 20-35 years, as many as 37 people (74%), most of the respondents were
primigravida based on the duration of labor in the 1st stage of active phase 6-7
hours as many as 18 people (64,3%). Meanwhile, for multigravida respondents
based on the duration of labor in the first stage of the active phase of 6-7 hours as
many as 12 people (54,5%). This is because in primigravida cervical effacement
occurs first before opening, while in multipara the cervix has softened due to
previous labor so that the first stage period in primigravida is longer than in
multigravida. And for the age of 20-35 years at the time of pregnancy, not too
young and not too old is the age that is considered the safest to undergo
pregnancy and childbirth.
