dc.description.abstractPurpose The number of HIV/AIDS in the world today is still high and requiring special attention from all parties. The problems faced by the human immunodeficiency virus/ accuired immune deficiency syndrome also very complex, in addition to having to face stigma and discrimination negative often has created problems psychical and the social. Research aims to understand family encouragement relations with the quality of life from people with HIV/AIDS. Methodology Design research is analytic correlational with the methods cross sectional. Population research is the patient ARV which consisted of 300 people. The sample was partly people with HIV/AIDS visit that is 45 respondents. Sampling technique used to consecutive sampling. Data collecting using a questionnaire. Using statistical test spearmen rho page. Main Finding The result of the study the majority of the respondents show support the moderate families as many as 31 (68,9%), but of several family encouragement the most support is family encouragement (emotional) with 26 (57,8%) and all respondents the quality of life in living is high as many as 45 (100,0%). Based on test spearmen rho obtained the value of ρ = 0,089 which ρ < 0,05 so H1 rejected so that there was no connection family encouragement with the quality of life. Applications This study can be useful for HIV/AIDS patient and nursing science area especially on nursing of HIV/AIDS. Novelty/Originality There is new result from this study that may benefit readers that is the result was no connection family encouragement with the quality of life from people with HIV/AIDS. It is affected factors in being long HIV /AIDS that tends to more than 1 year. Care support treatment respondents get the service is at the polyclynic seruni in which there are structure either in health and the conseling room and consultations people with HIV/AIDS can do better medical and non medical.en_US
