HUBUNGAN GENDER PEKERJAAN DENGAN KEPATUHAN DIET PADA LANSIA GOUT ARTHRITIS DI DESA JABON KABUPATEN MOJOKERTO
Abstract
Gout arthritis sufferers can carry out adherence to the recommended diet. Patients
with gout arthritis have the lowest level of dietary adherence compared to other rheumatic
diseases and many other chronic diseases such as hypertension, hypothyroidism, type 2
diabetes, gout arthritis is a disease with the highest non-adherence to medication, besides
non-adherence to a low-purine diet. The purpose of this study was to determine the
relationship between gender, occupation and dietary adherence to lansi gout arthritis in
Jabon Village, Mojokerto Regency. Analytical correlation research design with cross
sectional approach. The population is mostly elderly with gout arthritis aged 60-74 years
who seek treatment in Jabon Village, Mojokerto Regency. The sample used was 64
respondents. Sampling with Consecutive Sampling, measuring instruments using a
questionnaire. After the data was collected, the data were analyzed by means of editing,
coding, tabulating then the percentage, then tested with the Spearman's Rho Test. The
results showed that almost half stated that female gender was less obedient as many as 36
respondents (56.8%) and work as many as 21 respondents (32.8%) and almost half stated
that adequate dietary compliance was 44 respondents (68.8%). Based on the results of the
cross tabulation analysis, there were 20 respondents (31.2%) who were less obedient,
meaning gender, work was quite obedient in carrying out a diet, so it can be concluded
that there is a gender relationship between work and dietary compliance. The results of
Spearman's Rhodi statistical test obtained p value (0.000)> a (0.05), there is a relationship
between occupational gender and dietary compliance. In gender hope, work can provide
the care needed by the elderly and always reminds to control and improve low-purine diet
adherence in elderly with gout arthritis.
