    Abstract
Some people with Diabetus Militus perceive it as bad luck, punishment and experience fear if they cannot control their life. If this situation is not resolved it can cause stress and can affect blood sugar levels. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between stress levels and blood sugar levels in patients with diabetes mellitus. The design of this study used a crosssectionalcorrelation analytic approach with consecutive type non-probability sampling, which was conducted at the outpatient clinic of Kedundung Public Health Center, Mojokerto City on July 10 to July 15 2020 with 42 respondents. The research instrument used the DASS (Depression Anxiety Stress Scale 14) questionnaire to determine the level of stress and the Glucotest brand Easy touch to measure blood sugar levels. The results of the researchers tested with Spearman rho obtained p value (0.000) <α (0.05), which indicates that there is a relationship between stress levels and blood sugar levels in patients with diabetes mellitus. It can be concluded that the more severe the stress level is, the higher the blood sugar levels in Diabetus Militus patients at outpatient clinic Kedundung, Mojokerto City. Increased blood sugar levels are caused by genetic factors, obesity, lifestyle changes, diet, drugs that affect blood glucose levels, lack of activity, aging, pregnancy, smoking and stress.
