    Abstract
Hypertension is now one of the leading causes of death in the world. Hypertension can recur at any time, because overall hypertension cannot be cured, but can be controlled and can reduce the risk of recurrence. One of the factors that can affect hypertension recurrence or increase blood pressure again is from stress factors, through sympathetic nerve activity that can increase blood pressure gradually. Design research using the Literature Review Study, focusing on three databases including Google Scoolar and Google Cendikia. The keywords used are using the keywords "Stress Level" AND "Hypertension". The number of journals reviewed was as much as 10 which explained stress and hypertension. The results of a journal review regarding the relationship of stress levels with hypertension recurrence, namely hypertension recurrence caused by stress causes vasoconstriction of blood vessels and will increase blood pressure. The higher the stress level, the more it will affect the blood pressure of hypertension sufferers and can cause hypertension recurrence. In this case vasoconstriction of blood vessels that stimulates sympathetic nerve activity will continue to increase so that the blood pressure of hypertension sufferers will also remain high.
