PERILAKU KELUARGA DALAM PENCEGAHAN DEKUBITUS PADA PASIEN PASCA STROKE Studi di RSI Muhammadiyah Hassanah Kota Mojokerto
Abstract
The family makes an effort to prevent pressure sores both the actions taken
and those not carried out not because they understand clearly what the purpose of
the action is but only because of the habit or instinct to help and protect the patient.
This study aims to determine family behavior in the prevention of pressure sores in
post-stroke patients at the Muhammadiyah Hasanah Hospital in Mojokerto City.
This research design uses descriptive. The population in this study were all families
of post-stroke patients who were being controlled in the Neurology Clinic of the
Muhammadiyah Hasanah Hospital in Mojokerto on 18 June-2 July 2020 as many
as 52 people. The sampling technique of this study was accidental sampling. The
sample in this study amounted to 39 people. The research instrument used a
questionnaire. Data analysis uses frequency and percentage distributions. The
results of this study indicate that respondents have positive behaviors that are 24
people (61.5%), and those who have negative behaviors are 15 people (38.5%). This
shows that the majority of respondents have positive behavior in preventing
pressure sores in post-stroke patients. Positive behavior manifests in the form of
families being able to recognize the problem of pressure sores, deciding appropriate
health measures for families at risk of pressure sores, caring for families
experiencing stoke with risk of pressure sores, modifying the family environment
to ensure the family does not condemn pressure sores, utilizing surrounding health
care facilities for sick families stroke.
