dc.description.abstract | Story telling is a method that is quite effective in attracting the attention of children,
when telling stories by using fingger puppet to children it will awaken their imagination and
emotional. Children are never tired of stories, reading aloud gives them endless fun and gives
special benefits to children who have limitations to play. The purpose of this study was to prove
the stimulation of storytelling with puppet puppets on the language development of preschool
children in RA Mambaul Huda Puri District, Mojokerto Regency. The research method used
was pre experimental design with one group pre-post test design. The population of all RA
Mambaul Huda students is Puri District of Mojokerto Kindergarten A and TK B as many as 50
students. The sampling technique used by this researcher is non probality sampling (total
sampling) so that the sample at the time of the study was 50 respondents. The instrument used
to assess child development was a questionnaire that adopted the RA Mambaul Huda report
card, Puri District, Mojokerto Regency. Based on the results of the study showed there were 5
respondents (10.0%) with the category of Developing in Accordance with Expectations before
treatment and after treatment increasing to 21 respondents (42.0%) with the Developing
Conformance Expectation category. There is an influence of storytelling with puppet puppets
on the language development of preschool children, giving storytelling therapy with puppet
puppets if given regularly and routinely can train focus, build imagination and concentration
on preschoolers. It is expected that parents and teachers can provide stimulation of story telling
routinely so that the improvement of motor language in children can be maximized. | en_US |
