PENGARUH TEKNIK MARMET TERHADAP PENINGKATAN PRODUKSI ASI PADA IBU POSTPARTUM Studi Literatur Review
Abstract
Breast milk (ASI) is the best food for babies. It is expected that mothers provide exclusive Breast Milk, which is only Breast Milk from birth to 6 months and continued for up to 2 years. Breast Milk that is not smooth out on the first day of a baby's life is one of the inhibiting factors for exclusive breastfeeding. Marmet technique is a massage using two fingers that can stimulate the breast to produce more Breast Milk. This marmet technique principally have to empty the milk in the lactiferous sinus which is located under the areolla so that it is hoped that emptying breast milk in the breast will stimulate the hormone prolactin. The release of the hormone prolactin will further stimulate mammary alveoli to produce breast milk. Marmet technique can be applied practically by mothers. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of Marmet technique on increasing Breast milk production in Postpartum mothers.The research design is a literature study. The review method uses several databases, namely: google schoolar, cambrigde core, researchgate, DOAJ, one search from 2015-2019. The keywords are Marmet technique, postpartum, Breast Milk production. Of the 650 journals identified, this study analyzed 10 journals that met the criteria. The review results show that the administration of Marmet technique is effective in increasing Breast Milk production in postpartum mothers. Marmet technique can be categorized as safe and effective in increasing Breast Milk production.It is expected that health workers can conduct socialization about increasing milk production in postpartum mothers by using audiovosual media (video).
