PENGARUH JUS TOMAT TERHADAP PENURUNAN GLUKOSA DARAH PADA PENDERITA DIABETES MELLITUS
Abstract
Diabetes mellitus is a group of metabolic diseases characterized by
hyperglycemia that occurs due to abnormal insulin secretion, impaired insulin
action or both, which cause various chronic complications in the eyes, kidneys,
nerves, and blood vessels. One alternative companion to antidiabetic drugs is
tomato juice. This study aims to prove the effect of tomato juice on reducing
blood glucose in people with diabetes mellitus. The design of this research is the
Library Research Library Study which is a series of activities relating to the
method of collecting library data, reading, and recording and processing research
materials. Literature search was carried out through Google Scholar, ProQues,
Google Scholar with keywords type 2 diabetes mellitus, tomato juice, blood
glucose used 10 journals in this study. The results of the analysis in 5 international
journals and 5 national journals show that the influence of tomato juice on the
decrease in blood glucose in people with diabetes mellitus. This shows the
concordance between facts and theories where there is an effect of tomato juice on
a decrease in blood glucose levels in people with diabetes mellitus.
