PENGARUH PEMBERIAN EDUKASI MELALUI AUDIO VISUAL TENTANG AKSI CERDIK TERHADAP MOTIVASI MASYARAKAT DALAM MENCEGAH DIABETES MELLITUS (Studi Pra Eksperimen di Dusun Gembongan Desa Jotangan Wilayah Puskesmas Modopuro)

Abstract

Diabetes mellitus is increasing every year due to the lack of preventive measures taken. This causes many people at risk of developing diabetes mellitus. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of providing education through audiovisuals about clever action on community motivation in preventing diabetes mellitus in Jotangan Village, Modopuro Public Health Center. The design of this research was pre-experimental with one group pretest-posttest design. The population is all the risky people of suffering from diabetes mellitus in the village of Jotangan, the working area of the UPT Modopuro Health Center with a sample of 28 respondents. The sampling technique uses nonprobability sampling with purposive sampling. The independent variable of health education about CERDIK action and the dependent variable of community motivation in preventing diabetes mellitus. Data was taken using a pre and post-test questionnaire with Google form and audiovisual uploaded on YouTube. This research was using Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test analysis with SPSS 16.0 version. Results showed ρ (0,000) <α (0.05), so that H 0 was rejected and H was accepted, it means that there was an influence on providing audio-visual education about the action of CERDIK on people's motivation in preventing diabetes mellitus. Preventive education about the action of CERDIK was done so people are more motivated to prevent diabetes mellitus and can apply it in their daily life.
