Sectio caesarea (SC) is a surgical procedure that can cause trauma to the abdominal wall and uterine tissue. In this case, tissue trauma will stimulate pain receptors that are scattered on the skin and mucosa and will respond to pain if there is stimulation in the form of chemicals and various acids that are released if there is damage to the tissue due to lack of oxygen. The purpose of this study was to determine the level of pain in post sectio caesarean primiparous and multiparous patients. This research design is descriptive. The population of all post SC patients on March 1 to 14 was 52 patients with a sample of 45 people. The variable in this study was the level of pain in primiparous and multiparous patients. Data were taken by observation and interviews with the Numeric Rating Scale (NRS) pain instrument. After the data was collected, the data was processed and searched for the mode value of the level of pain felt by the respondent. The results showed that all primiparous respondents experienced severe pain, while most multiparous respondents experienced moderate pain. The high level of pain in primiparous is due to several factors such as anxiety and the absence of past experience with previous CS related pain. Meanwhile, most of the multiparous experienced moderate pain influenced by factors both physiological and psychological adaptations of the mother as well as family kopping which was better than previous CS. From this study, it is hoped that post-SC mothers can perform relaxation or distraction techniques that they can do to reduce the post-SC pain they feel.en_US
