dc.description.abstract | Social isolation is a condition when an individual experiences a decline or even completely
unable to interact with other people around him, the individual feels that he loses close
relationships and has no chance to share feelings, thoughts, achievements, or failures. The
purpose of this study was to obtain an overview and direct experience in providing nursing
care to patients with social isolation with medical diagnosis schizophrenia in the Wates public
health care.In the study using qualitative research using a case study approach, the data
obtained will be more complete, more in depth, credible, meaningful. Data collection
techniques in this study were conducted by interview, observation, documentation study, and
analyzing the nursing process. The result of the study until the evaluation of nursing shows
that after being given the same nursing care to both clients the results for the two clients were
different. Client 1 requires 10 meetings while client 2 requires 6 meetings, Client 1 is longer
than client 2. This difference occurs because of the motivation in the client and also the help
of support from the family. Based on the results of research that has been done, it is
recommended to nurses to provide counseling to families about the importance of overcoming
social isolation disorders for patients with mental disorders. As well as support from family,
the environment can accelerate the achievement of optimal recovery of social isolation for
