dc.description.abstract | Impaired Skin Integrity is skin damage (dermis and/or epidermis). One of the disorders of skin integrity is that occurs in diabetic ulcers and disorders. DM patient are caused due to genetic factors and viral infections, then beta cell damage occurs and caused imbalance in insulin production. One of effects and complications that often occur in patients with diabetes mellitus is foot problems. Such as wounds on the legs that do not heal, and tissue decay that needs to be amputated. The purpose of this study was to carry out nursing care with impaired skin integrity in type 2 diabetes mellitus in Masyithoh Islamic hospital Bangil. With the methods used in this study using descriptive methods in the case study approach. Nursing care is carried out for 2 weeks from March 13. 2021 to March 28, 2021. The results of the study were obtained that after nursing care 5× for 2 weeks, it is hoped that the problem of skin integrity can be resolved, it has shown the process of wound healing, the wounds on the backs of the legs of both clients began to dry up. Client 1 has shown changes in the area of the of the wound, 6 cm in length and 5 cm in width, there is purulent, there is slought. While client 2 has shown changes in the area of the wound, 10 cm long and 2 cm wide, there is pus, the smell is starting to decrease, and the edema aroud the wound is reduced. It is hoped that the hospital can provide optimal health services, especially for patients with diabetes mellitus. | en_US |
