Every year non-communicable diseases have increased in the world, including Indonesia. Instability of blood glucose levels is a condition of increased blood glucose levels that can be acute and chronic. Diabetes mellitus is a metabolic disorder characterized by hyperglycemia associated with abnormalities of carbohydrate, fat, and protein metabolism caused by decreased insulin secretion or microvascular, macrovascular and neuropathy. The purpose of this study was to carry out nursing care for unstable blood glucose levels in patients with diabetes mellitus at Prof. Regional General Hospital Dr. Soekandar Mojosari. The design of this research is a case study which includes interviews, observations, physical examinations, and documentation. After three days of nursing, the patient’s instability was resolved by meeting the four predetermined outcome criteria. The evaluation results show that insulin therapy is effectively used to overcome that problem of unstable blood glucose levels in patients with hyperglycemia.en_US
