Students still consume unhealthy snacks due to lack of information, therefore the provision of health education is expected to increase children's knowledge in choosing healthy snacks. This study aims to determine the effect of health education on knowledge in choosing healthy snacks for fourth and fifth grade students at SDN Jimbaran Wetan. This research design uses Pre-Experimental Design, one group pretest and posttest method design, as well as health education variables and knowledge variables in the selection of healthy snacks. The sample of this study was 45 respondents who were taken using a purposive technique sampling. Data collection using a multiple choice test questionnaire instrument 20 questions ago was conducted Wilcoxon Signen Rank Test help of SPSS version 24.0for windows. Research result this that is, before being given health education, students' most of lacking (40%) and after given health education, all the students' knowledge was good (100%). The results of the calculation of statistical test analysis Wilcoxon Signen Rank Test, namely the P Value (0.000) < (0.005) meaning H1 is accepted and H0 rejected so that the conclusion is that there is an effect ofhealth education on knowledge in the selection of healthy snacks in grades IV and V SDN Jimbaran Wetan Sidoarjo Regency and health education can increase students' knowledge about healthy snacks. The provision of direct health education has been proven to increase students' knowledge, which is 53.3% so thateducation education Health should still be provided so that these students can choose healthy snacks. Parents are expected to play a role in supervising the snacks consumed by children andcooperate with schools for provide health education about healthy snacks andprovide a healthy canteen for students.
