ASUHAN KEPERAWATAN DENGAN MASALAH DEFISIT NUTRISI PADA PENDERITA DIABETES MELLITUS DI DESA PANDANARUM KEC. PACET MOJOKERTO
Abstract
Diabetes Mellitus is a disease that has a high risk of experiencing nutritional deficits caused by disturbances in carbohydrate, protein and fat metabolism so that it will not achieve a balanced nutritional state or nutritional deficit. The purpose of this study is to carry out nursing care for people with diabetes mellitus with nutritional deficit problems in Pandanarum Village, Kec. Pacet Mojokerto. The research method uses a case study design with a nursing care approach that includes assessment, diagnosis, intervention, implementation and evaluation. Participants in this study consisted of 2 people with Diabetes Mellitus, female and adult in Pandanarum Village, Kec. Pacet Mojokerto with the criteria of experiencing the same problem, namely a nutritional deficit. The results of the study on both participants that after nursing actions were carried out for 4 home visits in 2 weeks the problem of nutritional deficits in both participants could be resolved with the criteria for complaints of feeling full after eating reduced, appetite increased, no longer feeling weak, the portion of food spent increasing , this is evidenced at the time of observation on the 4th day, it was found that the weight of the two participants increased, namely in participant 1, his weight increased by 1.4 kg, while in participant 2 his weight increased by 7 ounces. The interventions carried out were identification of nutritional status, identification of calorie needs and types of nutrients, monitoring of food intake, monitoring of body weight, facilitation of determining diet programs, serving food in an attractive manner, collaboration with nutritionists to determine the number of calories and types of nutrients needed, conducting sugar checks. blood using a finger stick. From these results, the researcher can conclude that the implementation of the intervention in both participants during 4 home visits in 2 weeks can be resolved with the result of an increase in body weight in both participants.
