dc.description.abstract | Gout Arthritis is inflammation of the joints caused by the deposition of monosodium urate in the body, can be caused by hyperuricemia (increased purine acid) in the body.The impact on the elderly with decreased quality of life in the presence of pain.The purpose of this case study is to carry out the Chronic Pain Nursing Care for the Elderly with Gout in the Work Area of the UPT Pukesmas Dlanggu.The method used in carrying out the nursing care is the Case Study method.The participants who were given nursing care included 2 people with characteristics of age 60 years, female gender and experiencing pain.Technology in data collection include interviews, observations, physical examinations and documentation studies.The results of comprehensive nursing care for both participants in the basic data assessment found objective and subjective data indicate that the client was experiencing chronic pain.The plan of care is to apply according to the form of implementation in this nursing care.The difference that occurs in clients 1 and 2 is the pain scale, where client 2 has higher pain scale than client 1.Furthermore, there are also differences in the pain felt in clients 1 and 2 after nursing care, where client 2 still feel pain.This happens because of how someone interprets pain, everyone has a different pain, they'rehold, even though the two participants are the same age, and also on client 2 has side effects from a history of past eye surgery and client 1 takes medication regularly while client 2 are irregular.The results of the analysis showed that participant 1 experienced a decrease in pain from a scale of 5 to 2 and participant 2 also experienced a decrease in pain from a scale of 6 to 3.The focus of the intervention was on pain observation, distraction and relaxation techniques, warm compresses, health education to avoid foods containing pudding. | en_US |
