Abstract
Gout Arthritis (GA) is a purine metabolism disorder characterized by increased levels of uric acid in the blood, caused by a lack of uric acid excretion from the body. One of the problems that often arise in Gout Arthritis is Chronic Pain. The purpose of this study was to carry out nursing care for clients with chronic pain problems at UPT Candi Puskesmas, Sidoarjo Regency. This research method using a case study design approach to nursing care includes assessment, nursing diagnosis, intervention, implementation, evaluation using two clients who experience chronic pain problems at UPT Candi Puskesmas, Sidoarjo Regency. Collecting data using interview techniques, observation, physical examination, and documentation. The results of the study found that client 1 aged 67 years experienced pain in the right ankle joint with a pain scale of 8, the results of uric acid levels (10.2 mg / dL) While client 2 aged 62 years experienced pain in the wrist joint and fingers and right foot with a scale pain 9, results of uric acid levels (9.6mg/dL). The results of the analysis of the plan of care are in accordance with what is implemented in nursing care. There are differences in the results where the pain scale decreases and uric acid levels decrease, namely client 1 drops to pain scale 2, the results of uric acid levels (7.9 mg/dL) while client 2 decreases to pain scale 2, the results of uric acid levels (8.9 mg/dL) dL), this is due to differences in uric acid levels and the pain scale of client 1 which is higher than client 2 so that purine metabolism is disturbed by high levels of uric acid in the blood. So to control nutrition in patients with Gout Arthritis and need to do deep breathing relaxation techniques, given balm and warm compresses when pain occurs.
