By : Ahmad Wahyudi
Coronary heart disease (CHD) was a disease caused by narrowing and blockage of the arteries of the heart. The World Health Organization defines coronary heart disease as a non-communicable disease that causes the highest mortality in the world. The increase in cases of coronary heart disease is due to the recurrence of individual disease after undergoing treatment for coronary heart disease. Disease control is exacerbated by the emergence of problems with decreased cardiac output in patients with coronary heart disease. Individuals with problems with decreased cardiac output who do not receive treatment will increase morbidity and mortality in patients with coronary heart disease. The writing of this scientific paper uses a descriptive method with a case study approach. Based on the results of the study, it was found that the patient complained of shortness of breath, left chest pain and cold sweats, so a nursing diagnosis was set for decreased cardiac output related to changes in heart rhythm. Based on the results of nursing planning, with reference to the IDHS, a diagnosis of decreased cardiac output was obtained related to changes in heart rhythm, SLKI was cardiac output and SIKI was cardiac care. Based on the results of nursing actions, cooperative patients and nursing actions can be carried out to completion. In the results of the nursing evaluation, it was found that the problem was resolved. The role of nurses in patients with coronary heart disease is interdependent by performing nursing care by conducting nursing assessments, formulating nursing diagnoses, making nursing plans, implementing nursing and evaluating nursing. The application of nursing care was one of the most effective efforts to reduce morbidity and mortality from coronary heart disease.
