Abstract
Introduction bronchopneumonia is a lower respiratory tract disease which is
usually preceded by infection in the upper respiratory tract and localized
inflammation of the lung parenchyma that affects the bronchioles and also the
surrounding alveoli, which is caused by various etiologies such as viruses, fungi,
and foreign bodies, which are characterized by signs and symptoms such as high
fever, dyspnea, and productive cough. The purpose of this study was to be able to
carry out nursing care for children with bronchopneumonia with the problem of
ineffective airway clearance in the lily room of Anwar Medika General Hospital,
Kab. Sidoarjo. The research method used is descriptive method in the form of
case studies. The subject of this study was 1 client with bronchopneumonia with
ineffective airway clearance problems. Data collection techniques were described
in a narrative manner and carried out by interview techniques by asking the family
about the client's identity, chief complaint, disease history, drug allergy history,
and others. The results of the case study research on An. G and with
bronchopneumonia, one priority diagnosis was obtained, namely ineffective
airway clearance related to the accumulation of excess secretions. The discussion
after nursing care for 3 days found that the client's complaints of shortness were
reduced, the production of secretions was also reduced but the care and treatment
continued. Conclusions based on this, it can be concluded in the case of An. G
with a diagnosis of brocopneumonia with the problem of ineffective airway
clearance is a problem that can be partially resolved. Suggestions are expected to
add knowledge and insight about bronchopneumonia and how to handle and treat
it.
