Sleep pattern disturbances are interruptions in the amount of time and quality of sleep due to internal and external factors, problems with sleep pattern disorders include difficulty starting sleep, sleep dissatisfaction, stating that you do not feel enough rest, decreased ability to function, changes in normal sleep patterns, often awake for no reason. clear. Inadequate sleep patterns and poor sleep quality can result in impaired physiological and psychological balance in a person, besides that short sleep duration for a long time can cause hypertension due to increased 24-hour blood pressure and heart rate, increased sympathetic nervous system and increased blood pressure. salt retention. The purpose of this study was to carry out nursing care for sleep disorders in the elderly with a diagnosis of hypertension in the working area of the Kedungsolo Public Health Center, Sidoarjo Regency. The method used in this study is a descriptive method in a case study approach to 2 elderly clients with hypertension. Nursing care is carried out for 3x24 hours, it is hoped that the problem of sleep pattern disorders can be resolved, by showing an increase in sleep quality, increased sleep duration, decreased blood pressure, fresher and fitter clients in their activities. Client 1 has shown changes in sleeping hours that are not too late and sleep duration increases and blood pressure drops from 165/100 to 150/90. While client 2 has shown changes by not easily waking up at night, the duration of sleep at night increases, blood pressure drops from 170/105 to 148/90, so that the problem of sleep pattern disturbances in client 1 and client 2 is resolved. The provision of nursing care that has been given is effective in overcoming the problem of sleep pattern disorders, especially in patients with hypertension. | en_US |
