HUBUNGAN AKTIFITAS FISIK DENGAN TINGKAT STRESS PADA PASIEN DIABETES MILITUS DI RUANG POLI PENYAKIT DALAM RSUD Prof Dr.Soekandar Mojosari
Abstract
Stress is one of the conditions that every Diabetes Mellitus (DM) patient is
susceptible to. Efforts to deal with stress in DM patients are still low, especially
through physical activity. Management of daily physical activity is very important
in DM patients, through physical activity it can release energy from skeletal
muscles so that it can control high blood sugar which can trigger stress in DM
patients. This study aims to determine the relationship between physical activity
and stress levels in DM patients. This research method uses a research design that
is correlation analytic. The population in this study were all patients with diabetes
mellitus in the internal medicine polyclinic of RSUD Prof.Dr. Soekandar Mojosari,
totaling 108 people. The research sampling technique used consecutive sampling.
The sample in this study was part of the population of diabetes mellitus patients in
the internal medicine polyclinic of Prof.Dr. Soekandar Mojosari, totaling 50 people.
Data analysis is presented in the form of percentages and tables. The results of this
study indicate that almost all respondents in the category of light physical activity
as many as 38 people, and most of them in the category of moderate stress as many
as 32 people. In the results of the analysis of the description of physical activity and
stress levels in DM patients at the internal medicine polyclinic Prof.Dr.Soekandar
Mojosari with the results of statistical tests using Spearman Rho with p value 0.000
(<0.05), so the conclusion of this study is that there is a relationship between
physical activity with stress levels in DM patients who are respondents at the
Internal Medicine Poly Prof.Dr.Soekandar
