HUBUNGAN KADAR HEMOGLOBIN DENGAN FATIGUE PADA PASIEN HEMODIALISA DI RSUD TAMAN HUSADA BONTANG
Abstract
Decreased kidney function can cause impaired kidney function, one of which can cause a decrease in hemoglobin (Hb) levels. A decrease in hematocrit, hemoglobin (Hb), and the number of erythrocytes in the blood is a symptom of anemia. Low hemoglobin levels allow the main complaints in patients with chronic kidney failure undergoing hemodialysis, including shortness of breath, physical weakness and fatigue or tiredness. This study aims to determine the relationship between hemoglobin levels and fatigue in hemodialysis patients at Taman Husada Bontang Hospital. The design of this research is correlation analytic with cross sectional approach. The sample used was 40 respondents. Sampling was done by using consecutive sampling technique. The independent variable is hemoglobin level and the dependent variable is fatigue. Data were taken using laboratory results and questionnaires. After the data is collected, data processing is carried out and continued with the Spearman correlation statistical test with the help of SPSS version 25.0. The results show p = 0.000 where the significant value is <0.05 and r = 0.609 with a strong relationship level, which means that the relationship between the two variables is in the same direction, thus it can be interpreted that the lower the hemoglobin level, the fatigue will also increase. This shows that p < a, then H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted or it can be said that, there is a relationship between hemoglobin levels and fatigue in hemodialysis patients at Taman Husada Bontang Hospital. This study shows the importance of assessing hemoglobin levels for experiencing fatigue in hemodialysis patients.
