dc.description.abstract | Someone who has high altruism is interpreted as someone who is able to
pay attention to others, is able to help others and is able to put the interests of
others above personal interests. The reality that is happening today shows the
opposite, individual behavior is far from cultural reflective values. The purpose of
this study was to describe the altruism of high school adolescents in
Ngingasrembyong Village, Sooko District, Mojokerto Regency. The design of this
research was descriptive. The population in this study was 43 high school
teenagers living in Sidonganti Hamlet, Ngingasrembyong Village, Sooko District,
Mojokerto Regency. The sampling technique used was total sampling. The sample
size was 43 people. The instrument used was a questionnaire. Data analysis used
descriptive analysis. The results suggested that almost all respondents had
moderate level of altruism, as many as 34 people (79.1%), and respondents who
had low level of altruism were 9 people (20.9%). The picture of altruism in high
school teenagers in Ngingasrembyong Village, Sooko District, Mojokerto
Regency was mostly moderate. This is due to giving directions to someone you
don't know, giving money to charity, donating clothes or goods to charity,
showing an officer's error in collecting an item such as a refund for spending
money that will be notified to the cashier and returning it, helping classmates who
don't I am well acquainted with homework assignments when my knowledge is
greater than his, offering to help the disabled or elderly across the street, offering
my seat on the train or bus to someone standing, helping an acquaintance move
