PENGARUH EDUKASI MANAJEMEN BENCANA TERHADAP PENINGKATAN KESIAPSIAGAAN MASYARAKAT DALAM MENGHADAPI BENCANA BANJIR DI DUSUN BALONG DESA BANYULEGI KECAMATAN DAWARBLANDONG

Abstract

Background : Disaster preparedness is a series of activities carried out to anticipate disaster through organization and through appropriate and efficient steps. However, many of us are still not ready for what to do in the event of a disaster. This study aims to determine tge effect of disaster management education on increasing community preparedness in dealing with flood disasters. Metods : This study uses a quantitative type of research using a pre-experimental design with the design used is one-group pretest-posttest. The population in this study were 178 people, a sample of 40 people with sampling using non-probability sampling with purposive sampling technique. Data analysis using Wilcoxon signed statistical rank test with the help of SPSS 22. Result : The result of the study showed the before being given disaster management education the level of community preparedness was categorized as unprepared as many 16 respondents (40%) and after being given disaster management education the level community preparedness wa categorized as ready as many as 10 people (25%). After the Wilcoxon signed rank test statistic test the result obtained z-4.919 and the value of P value = 0,000 (a=0,005). Conclusion : From the result of this study, it can be concluded that there is an influence of disaster management education on increasing community preparedness in dealing with flood disasters in RW 9 Balong Hamlet Banyulegi Village Dawarblandong District. This show that the importance of education as a learning process. Develop understanding, insight, and add to information on the importance of disaster emergency preparedness and responde, so that the people concerned have awernes so as to from and improve good disaster preparedness in everday life.
