    Abstract
Triage nurse must carry out triage simultaneously, quickly, and directly according to patient complaints, avoiding delays in care in critical conditions. The phenomenon that occurs in the Emergency Room (IGD), namely the application of triage has not been carried out optimally so that there are still many patients who do not receive prompt and appropriate treatment according to their condition. The purpose of this study was to determine the accuracy of the triage of nurses in the Emergency Installation of Bangil Hospital. The design of this research was descriptive. The population in this study was all nurses in the ER at Bangil Hospital. There were 377 patients treated by emergency room nurses on August 1st-18th 2021. The sampling technique used consecutive sampling with a period of 3 days, starting on August 16 th -18 th, 2021. The sample size in this study was 30 people. The variable in this study was triage accuracy. The instrument used was an observation sheet. Data analysis used descriptive analysis. The results suggested that almost all respondents were correct in determining triage, namely 26 people (86.7%), and those who were not correct in determining triage were 4 (13.3%). These results indicate that almost all nurses have decided on triage correctly. This is because the triage decision is correct based on the respiratory rate, palpable pulse or not and the patient's mental status or awareness as well as the ability to walk to distinguish yellow and green triage.
