Maternal mortality in Indonesia is still relatively high, one of the factors behind this is the delivery process related to the selection of delivery assistance. The purpose of this study was to determine the factors that influence the selection of birth attendants. This type of research is analytical research with cross-sectional design with a simple random sampling technique. The variables studied are the factors that influence the selection of birth attendants. The results showed that more than half of the respondents received information from friends/family. More than half of respondents based on parity have 1-2 children. More than half of the respondents cannot support their families. More than half of the respondents are close to the puskesmas. The results of statistical tests with the Chi-Square Test on family support with birth attendants showed the results of the data P-value = 0.02 < 0.05. The conclusion is that H0 is rejected, which means that there is a relationship between family support and the selection of birth attendants in the Dobo Maluku Health Center Work Area. This is due to economically disadvantaged families. Especially in rural areas, poor families who use the house as a place to give birth are getting bigger. This is because families feel more comfortable at home. After all, more mothers are waiting for delivery and the delivery costs are cheaper.en_US
