dc.description.abstractUncontrolled blood pressure is a blood pressure condition that is not appropriately treated or controlled at > 140/90 mmHg. This study aims to determine the blood pressure in the elderly in the Kraton Village, Krian District, Sidoarjo Regency. The design of this research is descriptive. The population of this study was the elderly in the Kraton village, Krian sub-district, Sidoarjo district, with 108 people. The sampling technique of this study was purposive sampling. The sample in this study was 29 people. The instrument of this study used Standard Operating Procedures for measuring blood pressure, a manual Sphygmed sphygmomanometer, stethoscope, and observation sheet. The analysis in this study using frequency distribution. The results of this study indicate that the elderly with hypotension category 0 (0%), there are two elderly with normal category blood pressure (6.9.0%), while the elderly with hypertension category is 27 elderly (93.1 %). This shows that almost all the elderly have hypertension. This condition is caused by some factors such as age, genetic history, smoking, daily activities, psychological conditions, weight, and drugs usage.en_US
